About the race
Bangor City 10K & Half Marathon is a pair of road races based in Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales (LL57 1NW). The course starts and finishes in the city centre and runs out to the coastline, along Garth Pier over the Menai Straits, past views of Anglesey and Snowdonia, then through woodland paths before returning to the city centre.

Entry fees listed range from £36 to £48 depending on the event. A technical T-shirt and a bespoke medal are provided for all finishers. Prizes are awarded for Male and Female 1st–3rd overall and for 1st in each age category.
Practical arrangements and race rules: race numbers and timing chips are collected at Race HQ next to Deiniol Shopping Centre. There is no official parking; runners should use pay-and-display parking in and around the town centre (postcode LL57 1NW). Toilets are located near the start/finish at Bangor bus station; a city-centre swimming pool offers showers for a charge. Merchandise and baggage areas are provided; participants are advised not to leave valuables.
Drink stations are placed at approximately every 3 miles and at the finish; runners needing extra water are advised to carry a bottle. First aid cover is provided on course and at start/finish by a professional medical team; competitors should complete medical details on their race number. Headphones are not permitted except bone-conducting types. Runners must keep each mile under 15 minutes or they may be eliminated; slower runners may be required to move onto pavements and follow course signage and marshal instructions.
