Event details
The Bangor City 10K & Half Marathon takes place on 4th October 2026 in Bangor city centre. The course starts and finishes in the city centre, runs out to the coastline, crosses the Garth Pier over the Menai Straits and passes woodland paths with autumn colours. The route offers views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the surrounding North Wales coastline. Distances:

A technical T-shirt and a bespoke medal are provided to all finishers. There is no fun run at this event.
Race logistics
Race HQ opens next to the Deiniol Shopping Centre. Parking is pay and display in and around the town centre; the start/finish is located next to the shopping centre. Toilets are located near the start/finish at the Bangor bus station and a city centre swimming pool is available for showers (charges apply). Drink stations are placed at approximately every 3 miles and at the finish; runners may bring their own water if needed. Baggage can be left at a staffed baggage area but valuables should not be left in bags. First aid cover is provided at the start, finish and on course; runners are asked to complete medical details on the back of their race number. Headphones are not allowed, except bone-conducting types. Partial road closures will be in place and marshals’ instructions should be followed. Results and photos will be available after the event.
