Bandit Ultra Trail : Simi Valley, California
Bandit Ultra Trail is a trail running event held at Corriganville Park in Simi Valley, California. The course runs through the mountains of Rocky Peak, Las Lljas, and Tapo Canyon and begins at Corriganville Park, a former movie ranch and outdoor filming location for productions such as Star Trek, Fort Apache, The Lone Ranger and The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin.
The terrain includes sandstone boulders and outcroppings, oak savannahs, and perennial water sources. The route offers views of mountains and the ocean and passes through diverse habitat for local birds, mammals, and reptiles. Aid stations are placed on the 50K course at the following mile markers: Mile 5.6 Chumash #1, Mile 9.0 MarrLand #1, Mile 14.3 Tapo, Mile 19.5 MarrLand #2, and Mile 25.5 Chumash #2. All distances share course support and aid locations as noted by the organizer.
The event offers three distances on race day:
- 50K
- 30K
- 15K
A portion of event proceeds will be donated to the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Local partners listed for the event include On-Track Running, Rabbit for participant tank shirts and awards, and Vision For Enrichment for post-race sports massage.
