Bamburgh Castle Duathlons
This event returns to Bamburgh Castle for a weekend of multisport activity. Sprint and Standard duathlons take place on Saturday, a new 10km Trail Run is included, and cycle sportives are scheduled for Sunday. The venue is the car park on Links Road, Bamburgh, NE69 7AX.
Run routes use paths and trails around the castle grounds and cycle routes run along open roads through the Northumberland coastline. Any type of push bike can be used. The event is held on open roads so the Highway Code must be followed and a cycling helmet is compulsory.

- Sprint Duathlon: Run 5 km | Cycle 20+ km | Run 2.5 km
- Standard Duathlon: Run 10 km | Cycle 40+ km | Run 5 km
- 10 km Trail Run
Transition area is secure and for competitors only. Race number and bike number correspond to racking spots. Small bags or boxes are permitted inside transition. Bike number must be attached and helmet visible before entering; bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting.
Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a snack and a drink. An exclusive event T‑shirt is available to purchase for £12. On-site parking is available for £4, payable by cash or card; some competitors may need to use public parking nearby and should follow marshal instructions.
