Balsam Lake Freedom Fest 5K Run/Walk
The Balsam Lake Freedom Fest 5K is a community run and walk held in Balsam Lake Village on Main Street, Balsam Lake, WI on July 4, 2026. The course starts and finishes on the south side of the Balsam Lake Village Hall. The event is sponsored by the Unity Lions Club.
The event is family and stroller friendly. It benefits local community and school projects, including scholarships, the fire department, the Senior Citizens Center, and holiday festivities. Water is provided on the course and at the finish line.
Awards are given as plaques and gift certificates for first place male and female in these age categories: Kids 1–10, Youth 11–18, Adult 18 to 64, and Senior 65 and older. New in 2026 there will also be one overall winner in the stroller category. All registrants receive a race shirt in adult sizes small, medium, large, x-large, and 2X.
Registration is available online with a credit card through Race Roster. Limited race day registration is available and accepted by cash or check only; checks should be payable to Unity Lions Club. In the event of cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond the sponsor's control, proceeds will benefit Unity Lions Club community and school projects.
