About the race
The Ballarat Duathlon is scheduled for Friday 25th September 2026 at Victoria Park, Corner Sturt Street and Gillies Road, Ballarat. The Sprint distance race will serve as the 2026 Victorian Duathlon State Championship, act as a World Qualifying Event for the 2027 Australian Age Group Team, and is Race 1 of the Triathlon Victoria Regional Series.
Organised by Ballarat Triathlon Club, the event offers multiple race formats including Para categories and team entries. Course distances are published for each race and are subject to change by permit. Age eligibility is determined as at 31 December 2025. Eligibility for Victorian State Championship awards and World Qualifying Event selection is determined by AusTriathlon and requires current AusTriathlon membership for championship qualification.
Races and distances:
- Sprint: 4.5 km run, 17.5 km bike (5 laps), 2 km run
- Dash: 2.5 km run, 10 km bike (3 laps), 1 km run
- Fun: 1 km run, 3.4 km bike (1 lap), 0.5 km run
Entry fees vary by race and membership status and non members pay a compulsory One Day License fee for insurance. Entries close Wednesday 23rd September at 8pm or earlier if sold out.
