About the race
The Running Warehouse Ballarat Marathon is a two-day road running festival held in Ballarat, Victoria, centred on Ballarat Town Hall and routes through the city's historic gold rush-era CBD. The event uses AIMS and World Athletics-certified courses and runs across a weekend in April.
The festival offers multiple race options over two days, including:

Event editions attract a broad range of participants. The 2026 event recorded almost 12,000 registrations, involved 300 volunteers and included entrants from 19 countries. Organisers reported an economic impact on Ballarat of approximately $6 million and community fundraising of about $160,000 in 2026.

The event acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung People, and recognises their continuing connection to the land and waterways.
