Bakersfield Monster Mash Dash
The Bakersfield Monster Mash Dash is an annual Halloween-themed sporting event held at The Park at River Walk in Bakersfield, California. This race serves as a fundraiser for the Kern County Youth and Family Resource Centers, which acts as the official charity partner for the event.
Participants have several options for participation:
- 5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- Kids Run (0.25 miles), which is an untimed fun run for children ages 9 and under.
- Virtual Run, an option to complete any distance at any preferred location.
The event features a costume contest for individuals who choose to wear themed attire. Recognition is also provided through a Largest Group Award for the team with the most participants.
The 0.25 mile course for the kids run is designed to be visible to parents and guardians at all times. Those registered for the virtual event receive an event shirt and a finisher's medallion by mail following the race date, though virtual times are not considered official and are not eligible for age group awards.
