Bagel Run

Event Overview
The Bagel Run is a timed running and walking event held on Mother's Day. The 2026 edition will be its 40th annual occurrence. It is organized by The Aaron Family Jewish Community Center of Dallas (JCC).
Distances
The event offers several timed distances:
- Kids K Run: A 1 km fun run for ages 4–12.
- 5K Walk/Run: A course through a residential neighborhood with minor elevation changes, finishing on the Northaven Trail.
- 10K Run: Uses the same course as the 5K, run twice. A virtual option is available for all distances, which can be completed anytime and anywhere.
Participation
Participants can register as individuals, families, or teams. A family registration is available for up to five people. Team registrations for 10 or 20 participants are also offered. A Team Spirit Contest encourages participants to wear costumes or themed attire.
Schedule and Location
The event takes place at the Aaron Family JCC campus at 7900 Northaven Road in Dallas. The Kids K begins first, followed by the 10K and then the 5K.
Amenities and Features
All registered participants receive a goody bag, a t-shirt, and a finisher's medal. There is a post-race bagel buffet. Medical support and water stations are provided on the course. Packet pickup is available in the days before the event at the JCC.
Awards
Awards are given for top male and female finishers in various age groups for both the 5K and 10K. Special awards include Fastest Rabbi and Best Team Spirit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
