Badin Lake Triathlon : Badin, NC (June 6, 2026)
The Badin Lake Triathlon is a sprint triathlon held at Badin Lake and the surrounding roads and town of Badin, North Carolina. The course consists of an open water swim, a bike leg through Stanly County roads, and a run through historic Badin.

- 750 yard open water swim in Badin Lake
- 13 mile bike on rolling country roads of Stanly County
- 5K run through historic Badin
Competition divisions include Age Group, Athena (female athletes 160 pounds or more), and Clydesdale (male athletes 220 pounds or more). Relay team options allow three-person teams with separate swimmer, cyclist, and runner legs, and two-person teams where one member completes two legs. Relay categories include All Male, All Female, and Coed.
Registration details list entry fees of $85 for individual divisions and $130 for relay teams, with registration opening on February 2 and closing on June 5. Registration by May 21 guarantees a t-shirt. Awards are presented for Overall, Age Group, Athena, Clydesdale, and Team categories.
The event joined Trivium Racing in 2019 and is part of the Trivium Multisport Series. A pre-race safety meeting will take place at the transition area. Proceeds support the YMCA Strong Communities Fund and the Stanly County Family YMCA programs.
