Bad Dog 5000
The Bad Dog 5000 is the fifth annual 5K community race held on July 18 at the Carry-it Party Shop in Ottawa, Ohio. The event is organized as a nonprofit race with 100% of proceeds directed to Putnam County CAP, which helps with expenses for people undergoing cancer treatment. Registration opens March 11 and closes July 18. The listed registration fee is $35.
This edition is a night race. Prizes for winners have been changed to customized beer glasses and the event will offer event T-shirts with a new design. An after party follows the race; each participant receives a drink token valid for alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. A 50/50 raffle will also take place. The event is described as family friendly and is open to multiple modes of participation: participants may run, jog, walk, bike, or rollerblade.
