Stump Jump 50K & 10 Miler - Signal Mountain, TN
The Stump Jump returns for its 26th year on March 6, 2027, on Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge near Chattanooga, TN. The course is roughly 90% single-track and runs over sandstone-strewn trails through the Cumberland Plateau, including views of the Tennessee River Gorge and stream-fed coves with hemlock and rhododendron.

Both races start and finish at the Signal Mountain Soccer Fields behind Signal Mountain High School on Sam Powell Road. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Hello Monty and at the start/finish on race day. La Sportiva and Rossignol will have shoe demos on site.
The 50K uses multiple aid stations: Edwards Point (mile 4.9, light aid), Mushroom Rock (mile 8.2 and 29.3, full aid), Indian Rock House (mile 14.5, full aid), Snoopers Rock (mile 16.7, light aid), Haley Road (mile 19.4, light aid), Mullens Cove Parking Lot (mile 22.8, full aid), and the finish (mile 31.9). Runners are asked to bring a personal cup. Aid stations provide water, Gatorade, and snacks; some stations may offer sodas, gels, pastries, pickles, chips, sandwiches, and fruit.
The 50K has a 10 hour overall cutoff with intermediate cutoffs at mile 14.5 (4 hour) and about mile 23.3 (7 hour). Crews and drop bags are not allowed; poles are permitted. Extras include shirts, a post-race meal, and free beer from Dynamo Brewing. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
Camping is available at the start/finish soccer fields. Tent camping and RVs are allowed; there are no RV hookups or showers, and pavilion bathrooms are available. A portion of proceeds benefits Signal Mountain Athletics and Chattanooga Cave and Cliff Rescue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
