Event Details
This is the second annual Backyard Ultra marathon in New Town, Missouri. It takes place in October.
Course Format
The event involves runners completing a loop of 4.17 miles each hour. Participants have until the start of the next hour to finish each loop and begin the next one. It is a "last person standing" format. The race officially has volunteers until a specific time on Sunday, which corresponds to running 116.8 miles. If two runners remain at that point, accommodations will be made to continue.

The registration fee is $25. To run each loop, participants must contribute one dollar to a communal race jar. The winner receives half of the money collected, while the other half is donated to the MSMDS charity.
Participant Details
Each participant who completes a loop receives a custom DNF token. Runners can also join for individual loops at any hour, though they are not eligible for the overall prize jar.

The event supports Multisystemic Smooth Muscle Dysfunction Syndrome (MSMDS), an ultra-rare genetic disease. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
