Back the Blue 5K 2026
The Back the Blue 5K is the sixth annual community run held in the Deer Park and La Porte area. The event takes place at the new Jimmy Burke Activity Center in Deer Park, Texas. The featured distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and it is presented as a fun run where participants may run or walk.
The event aims to bring local police officers together with the community and to support youth connected to law enforcement. All proceeds go to the Deer Park Police Officer's Association, a 501c4 organization. Participation is open to the public; current law enforcement officers are eligible for a discount code.
Registration opened May 27, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30.00. The last day to register to receive a race t-shirt is October 6, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled for October 15 and October 16, with exact times to be posted later.
