Back On The Ranch Trail Run
Back On The Ranch is a multi-day trail running event held October 2 to October 4, 2026, at the private Sand Creek Ranch in Los Olivos, California. The event offers several timed race options on a single loop course.
The course is a 3.4 mile loop with about 433 ft of elevation gain per lap. Surface conditions are primarily dirt, a mix of hard pack road and soft single track, reported as largely runnable depending on weather. A well stocked aid station and support are available every lap and at personal camp locations.

- 48 hour
- 24 hour
- 12 hour (day or night segment option)
- 6 hour
- 3 hour
- Non Runner
Camping and parking are available on site and are free. Dispersed campsites are offered on a first come basis and participants may camp close to the course. Primitive camping options include tent, car, RV, and trailer setups; there are no hookups or running water.
All participants receive a custom souvenir tee shirt and a finishers amulet. Awards are presented to the top male and female in each division. There are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
