Back On the Ranch Trail Run : October 2-4, 2026, Los Olivos, CA
Back On the Ranch is a multi-day run and camp presented by AllWeDoIsRun at Sand Creek Ranch in Los Olivos, California. The event is the ninth annual edition and takes place over the weekend of October 2-4, 2026. Race formats offered include:
- 48 hour
- 24 hour
- 12 hour (day or night option)
- 6 hour
- 3 hour
- Non-Runner
Course, camping, and race details
The course is a loop of 3.4 miles with approximately 400 ft of elevation gain per loop. The surface is about 95% dirt, combining hard pack dirt road and soft single-track trail. Aid station support is available every loop and at personal camps. Participants may camp adjacent to the course; parking and camping are free. Primitive tent camping, car camping, RVs, and trailers are allowed, with no hookups and no running water. The ranch gate opens to participants on the Thursday before the event and closes on the Sunday after the event. All participants receive a custom souvenir tee shirt and a custom finishers amulet. Awards are given to the top male and female in each division. A western-style trophy buckle is awarded to 24 hour or 48 hour runners who reach a 100 mile finish.
