Event Overview
The Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon takes place in Solvang, California. This event features distances through the Santa Ynez Valley, including windmill-dotted towns and vineyard-lined roads. Participants can choose from three distinct event formats:

Course Details
The half marathon and half relay courses begin at the intersection of Atterdag Road and Laurel Avenue. The route leads runners past Hans Christian Andersen Park and into the canyon area. Participants pass through Los Olivos and traverse Corkscrew Hill. The course includes views of more than seven local vineyards and surrounding flora.
The event concludes in the center of Solvang, a town known as the Danish capital of America. The finish line area hosts a Wine Festival where participants can sample local wines from the vineyards featured along the race route.
Event Logistics
A health and fitness expo and packet pick-up are held prior to the races. On race day, the organizers provide parking and shuttle services for participants.
