Bacchus Wine Half Marathon & 10K
The Bacchus Wine event takes place at Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking on 13 September 2026. The event offers a half marathon, a 10 km race and a free 2 km fun run for children, all set amid vineyards and sections of the North Downs.
The half marathon is one lap around the estate and nearby trails. The course is undulating and very hilly in places, with long sections on trails and parts of the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way. Runners pass viewpoints over the Mole Valley and Ranmore Common. Music and bands appear at several points on the course and at drinks stations.
On-course refreshments include wine and food at multiple stations. Half marathon runners can sample six English wines along the route with accompanying food and soft drinks. The 10 km visits three wine stations; participants aged 18 or over may sample two wines, while underage participants are offered soft drinks and identified by markings on their race number. A post race party with food and a complimentary drink is included for half marathon and 10 km entrants.
Additional details: secure baggage, toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue but there are no showers. Parking and entry to the estate are free. Finishers of the half marathon receive a technical t-shirt in various sizes and a commemorative medal. Charity and volunteer options are available with associated conditions.
