Bacchus Wine Half Marathon & 10K : basic details
The event is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026 at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking, Surrey. Distances on offer:
- Half Marathon (approx. 21.1 km)
- 10 km
- 2 km Fun Run for children under 12
Entry fees listed are Half Marathon £69, 10K £49 and the children's 2 km is free. Half Marathon entrants must be 18 years or older. Finishers of the Half Marathon receive a technical t-shirt and a commemorative medal. 10K entrants do not receive a t-shirt as standard but may purchase one in advance or on the day. All participants receive access to free post-race photographs and a post-race party ticket is included for Half Marathon and 10K entries.
Course, facilities and event features
Both the Half Marathon and 10K start and finish at Denbies main building. The Half Marathon is a single lap. The route is primarily on trails along the North Downs escarpment, with undulating and hilly sections and parts of the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way. The Half Marathon visits five on-course wine stations (one visited twice) where runners over the legal drinking age may sample wines; the 10K visits two wine stations. There is musical entertainment at drinks stations and at the finish, a secure baggage area, toilets on site and portable toilets on the route, and food and drink options at the post-race hog roast. The event allows headphones but participants remain responsible for following marshal instructions. Volunteers are used for many roles and receive event benefits.
