7th Annual Baby Steps for Jameson Memorial 5K
The 7th Annual Baby Steps for Jameson Memorial 5K takes place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in McLeansboro, Illinois. The event is centered at 501 E Randolph Street and the course starts and finishes in the same general area near East Hull Street behind Hamilton County East Side School.

The course is described as very flat except for two moderately hard hills and is run entirely on asphalt. Awards are presented to the top two finishers in each age group for both runners and walkers, separated by male and female categories. Age groups listed include 1-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Each finisher in the Kids ½ Mile Fun Run receives a finisher’s award.
Proceeds from the 5K benefit Hayden’s Helping Hands, a foundation of the Charitable Partnership Fund that assists parents with medical expenses after the birth of a stillborn baby.
