7th Annual Baby Steps for Jameson Memorial 5K
The 7th Annual Baby Steps for Jameson Memorial 5K is scheduled for March 1, 2026, in Mc Leansboro, Illinois. The event is based at 501 E Randolph St., behind Hamilton County East Side School, with the race start and finish in the same general area.

The course is all asphalt and described as very flat except for two moderately hard hills. Awards are given to the top two runners and the top two walkers in each male and female age group (1-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over). Each finisher in the kids 1/2 mile fun run receives a finisher's award. Proceeds benefit Hayden’s Helping Hands, a foundation that assists parents with medical expenses after the birth of a stillborn baby.
