The Babcock Shettleston 10K is organised by Shettleston Harriers as a Scottish Athletics permit event. It is the first race of the Babcock 10K series, now 43 years old. The series will play host to the Scottish 10K Championships in 2026. The next scheduled race date is 10/05/2026.
Course and facilities
The race uses a traffic-free course around Glasgow Green. The Green contains historical buildings such as the People's Palace and the Royal Doulton fountain, which form part of the event backdrop. The course is described as flat. Ample parking and public toilets are available around Glasgow Green.
Entry, distances and prizes
Entry is open to runners aged 16 years or older. There is a separate 2K Fun Run for children priced at £3.50, which includes a medal, a bottle of water and a biscuit.
