Babcock Shettleston 10K
The Babcock Shettleston 10K is the opening race of the Babcock 10K series and will host the Scottish 10K Championships in 2026. The event is organised by Shettleston Harriers and holds a Scottish Athletics permit.
The race takes place at Free Wheel North, Glasgow Green Cycling Centre, G40 1AT. It runs over a traffic free course around Glasgow Green. The Green contains historical features such as the People's Palace and the Royal Doulton fountain, which provide a visible backdrop for the route.
The course is flat and described as suitable for personal best performances. Ample parking and public toilets are available around Glasgow Green. The main race is open to runners aged 16 years or older. Series prizes total £6,000 for leading individuals. Each race in the series includes a unique commemorative medal, a goody bag with running accessories, a piece of Babcock 10K merchandise and generous spot prizes from Start Fitness.
