Babcock Labor Day 5K Run or Walk
Babcock Ranch holds its 2nd Annual Babcock Labor Day 5K on September 7, 2026 in Punta Gorda, Florida. The event is offered as a chip timed run and an untimed walk, both covering a paved 3.1 mile course through Babcock Ranch with scenic views.

The course starts in front of Lee Health at 42880 Crescent Loop and finishes on the Founders Square boardwalk near the bandstand area. Packet pickup is available September 3 and 4 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Babcock Ranch Lifestyles Office, 42891 Lake Babcock Dr, and on race day at the Founders Square pavilion, 42850 Crescent Loop. Shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by midnight on August 25, 2026; after that shirts are available while supplies last or registrants may choose a no shirt option.
There are water stations at the halfway mark and at the finish line, rest rooms near the start line, and ample parking in and around Founders Square. Awards include overall and age group categories, special masters divisions, and finisher medals for all participants. Dogs and strollers are allowed but must start at the back unless able to complete a sub 21 minute 5K.
