Babcock Labor Day 5K Run or Walk
This event takes place on September 7, 2026 in Punta Gorda, Florida. The start location is in front of Lee Health at 42880 Crescent Loop and the finish is on the Founders Square boardwalk near the bandstand. Packet pickup is available September 3 and 4 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Babcock Ranch Lifestyles Office and on race morning at Founders Square from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM.
Participants may choose between a chip timed run or an untimed walk on a scenic, paved 3.1-mile course through Babcock Ranch. Distances offered:
- 3.1 miles - chip timed run
- 3.1 miles - untimed walk
There are water stations at the halfway mark and at the finish. Restrooms are located near the start line. Parking is available in and around Founders Square. Race shirts are guaranteed for entries made by midnight on August 25, 2026; thereafter shirts are available while supplies last and a NO SHIRT option is offered.
Awards are presented at the bandstand area and include first place overall male and female, masters and age-category awards, plus a finisher medal for all participants. Dogs are allowed if leashed and owners assume responsibility. Strollers are permitted; runners with dogs or strollers are asked to start at the back unless they can complete a sub 21 minute 5K.
