The course starts and finishes at Hermitage Academy, Cardross Road, Helensburgh, G84 7LA. The route uses full road closures and is entirely traffic free. It is a single circuit that is largely flat and described as fast, taking in much of the local Victorian seaside resort. Roads are quiet and well marshalled. Hermitage Academy provides car parking, changing, toilets, showers, catering and space for prize presentations. Series-level prizes total £6,000 for leading individuals. Each race provides a commemorative medal and a goody bag with running accessories, a unique piece of series merchandise, and there are spot prizes from Start Fitness.
