Event Overview
The Babcock Helensburgh 10K is the final event of the long-running Babcock 10K series, which has been held for 43 years. It is a 10 km road race organized by Helensburgh AAC and held under a Scottish Athletics permit.
Course and Facilities
The event takes place on a traffic-free route with full road closures. The course is described as fast and largely flat, consisting of a single circuit around Helensburgh, a Victorian seaside resort. The race starts and finishes at Hermitage Academy, which provides facilities for parking, changing, toilets, showers, and catering.
Participant Information
The race is open to runners aged 16 years or older. Participants receive a unique commemorative medal and a goody bag with running accessories. A unique piece of Babcock 10K merchandise is also provided.
Prizes and Series
There is a total of £6,000 in prize money for leading individuals across the series. The event also features generous spot prizes from Start Fitness.
