B-INSPIRED 5K
B-INSPIRED 5K is held at the Iowa Arboretum, 1875 Peach Ave, Madrid, IA 50156 on 10/03/2026. The event includes a professionally timed 5K and a short kids run around the Arboretum grounds.
Distances
- 5K : professionally timed, mostly flat, pavement, crushed rock, and trails
- Kids Dash (440 yards) : around the treehouse village, ages 4–10, mobility devices welcome
The 5K has a registration fee of $40.00. The Kids Dash registration fee is $15.00; that fee covers participation only and does not include an event t-shirt. Each child in the Kids Dash receives a small prize at the finish. Children under 10 may walk the 5K for free when accompanied by a registered adult. Participants over age 10 must register for the 5K.
Prizes are awarded for 1st place men and women in the 5K and for 1st overall kid under 18. Food and beverages on site include cheese at the finish, breakfast burritos from Weather or Naut Catering, and a coffee truck with items for purchase. Packet pickup occurs the morning of the event.
The event supports the B-Inspired Scholarship, awarded to a Boone High School senior who demonstrates drive, creativity, and passion for future studies or a career in entrepreneurship, fitness, sports, or wellness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
