B-INSPIRED 5K at the Iowa Arboretum
The event includes a professionally timed 5K race and a short Kids Dash on the Arboretum property at 1875 Peach Ave, Madrid, IA 50156, US. The 5K course is mostly flat and crosses a variety of surfaces, including pavement, crushed rock, and trails that run throughout the property.

The Kids Dash is open to children ages 4–10 and covers just over 0.25 mile on a paved trail. Wheelchairs, walkers, and mobility chairs are welcome for the Kids Dash. Children under 10 may walk the 5K for free with a registered adult; participants over age 10 must register for the 5K. Kids Dash registration covers only the Dash; each child will receive a small prize at the finish. Event t-shirts are not included with Kids Dash registration but can be added separately.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $40.00 for the 5K and $10.00 for the Kids Dash. Packet pickup is available on the morning of the event starting at 7:30 AM. Post-event offerings include cheese at the finish line, breakfast burritos from a catering vendor, and a coffee truck for purchase. The event also supports the B-Inspired Scholarship for a Boone High School senior pursuing entrepreneurship or a career in fitness, sports, or wellness.
