Azalea 12/24 Hour overview
The event takes place at Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, FL, and offers loop-format timed running events on a paved USATF measured 2 mile course. The route runs down the ravine beneath a canopy of large oaks, passes historical landmarks, and features winding curves and a few hills. Runners will be surrounded by native plants and local wildlife.
Distances and formats:
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 24 hours
- 12 hours
Cutoffs apply for longer distances: the 50 Miler has a 15 hour cutoff and the 50K has a 10 hour cutoff. Tents and canopies may be set up on race day only and participants are required to keep their areas clean. A limited number of spots are reserved for solo non-crewed runners; remaining spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
Aid stations provide staple foods and will offer hot items such as soups, sandwiches, and quesadillas; runners with special dietary needs are advised to prepare accordingly. Each runner’s hydration bottle must be clearly marked; a table will be available to drop off and pick up bottles and to refill near the start/finish area. Personal lighting is mandatory for nighttime running. Timing is handled by a professional service with continuous data backups. Registration closes Wed, Nov 4.
