Azalea 12/24 Hour
Azalea 12/24 Hour takes place at Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, Florida, with a paved USATF measured two mile loop through the ravine and among large oak trees and historic features. The route includes several winding curves and a few hills and is described as a loop course. The event offers these race formats:
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- 24 hours
- 12 hours
Cutoff limits apply for some distances: the 50 mile has a strict 15 hour cutoff and the 50K has a strict 10 hour cutoff. Tents and canopies may be set up on race day only and participants are required to keep their areas clean. Solo runners without crews are allotted a limited number of reserved spaces; remaining spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
Aid stations will supply staple foods in abundance and offer hot items such as soups, sandwiches, and quesadillas; runners with special dietary needs are advised to be prepared. Each runner’s bottle must be clearly marked; a central table will be provided for bottle drop and pickup and bottles can be refilled near the course start and finish.
