Event overview
The Autumn Run takes place in Buena Vista, Colorado, in the upper Arkansas River Valley near the Collegiate Peaks. The event date for 2026 is Saturday, September 19. The running program includes the following distances:

A free Family Fun Run is also offered around McPhelemy Park's Town Lake; no pre-registration is required for that run. A portion of event proceeds is split evenly among named beneficiaries, and additional donations are accepted during registration or on race day. The race operates under a special use permit with the Pike San Isabel National Forest.
Logistics and services
Registration is completed online and opens in May 2026; card payment is required and registration may close early if participant caps are reached. Packet pickup occurs at McPhelemy Park on the Friday before the race and on race day. Shuttle service is provided from McPhelemy Park to the start to reduce parking pressure, as roads near the start are narrow and parking is limited. Animals are not allowed on the race course; dogs may be kept on leash at the start/finish area and kept at least 20 feet away. The event is stroller friendly for the listed runs. All participants receive a race shirt, a finisher award, and a collapsible reusable speed cup; place awards are given to the top three male and female finishers.
