Event overview
The Autumn Run takes place in Buena Vista, Colorado, each year on the third weekend in September. The event offers multiple distances:

The course runs in and around McPhelemy Park and the town lake area in the upper Arkansas River Valley at the base of the Collegiate Peaks. The race is organized by One Love Endurance and operates under a special use permit with the Pike San Isabel National Forest.
Logistics and services
Registration is completed online and payment is by card only; registration may close early if participant caps are met. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event and on race day at McPhelemy Park, Hwy 24 and West Main Street in Buena Vista. A shuttle service to the half marathon start is provided and is recommended because roads near the start are narrow and parking is limited.
The runs are stroller friendly; young children who ride in strollers do not need to register. Half marathon participants who use strollers must arrange their own transportation to the start line. Animals are not allowed on course; dogs may be kept on leash near the start/finish area and should be controlled and kept at least 20 feet away from the start/finish.
Awards and on-site details
Place awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each run. All participants receive a race shirt, a commemorative finisher award, and a collapsible reusable speed cup as part of a cupless Sustainable Racing Program. A post-race party at McPhelemy Park includes live music, a beer garden with nonalcoholic options, and food trucks. A portion of proceeds is donated to named beneficiaries.
