About the race
The Austin Solstice Circuit Challenge takes place July 17 and 18, 2027 at Pace Bend Park on Lake Travis in Spicewood, Texas. The event uses a 1.64 mile paved lollipop figure-8 loop that runs through limestone bluffs, oak tree–covered hills, and lakeside scenery. The loop surface is smooth asphalt with gentle, predictable elevation and reflective markers for nighttime visibility. The event offers multiple distance options on the same loop, including an ultramarathon, standard road distances, and a timed overnight relay.
The marathon course is USATF certified with code TX25015LAB. Aid station service is available at the start/finish hub on every loop. Packet pickup is available on the day before and on race morning. Pacer rules and race support: personal pacers are allowed for the Marathon, 50K, and 52.7 mile solo events at approximately the halfway point - roughly 8 loops for the Marathon and 50K and about 16 loops for the 52.7 mile race.
Marathon and 50K runners may have one pacer; 52.7 mile runners may have one to three pacers. Each pacer must register and pay a $15 fee, sign a waiver, and wear an official pacer bib while on course. Amenities include a fully stocked aid station at the hub, toilet vault facilities, on-site camping on a first-come basis, multiple parking areas, and finishers items for participants.
