Austin Rattler Run

The Austin Rattler Run takes place on November 15, 2026 at Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas, within the Texas Hill Country. The event offers three trail running distances: 10-mile, 20-mile, and 50K.

The course utilizes a loop system at Reveille Peak Ranch, featuring a mix of singletrack trails and fire roads. The 10-mile distance consists of 60% singletrack and 40% jeep roads. Runners complete one loop for the 10-mile, two loops for the 20-mile, and three loops for the 50K.

Aid stations are located every 10 miles, near the start/finish line with bag drop. The 10-mile runners do not access the aid station, 20-mile runners pass through once, and 50K runners pass through twice. Provisions include hydration, energy gels, stroopwaffles, bars, chips, and candy.

There are strict course cutoffs. All runners must start their final lap by 1:00 PM, and the 50K must be completed by 4:00 PM to qualify for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 RUN.

Awards are given for top overall and age-group performances. The event also functions as a qualifier for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 RUN, with a minimum of 35 qualifier "coins" available for 50K finishers. These are distributed based on performance and a post-awards lottery.

The event includes a post-race celebration with music, food, camping, and kids' races. Parking is free during specific hours on race weekend; a fee applies at other times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
