About the race
The Austerlitz Trail is a running event held at the KNVB Campus in Zeist, situated within the Staatsbossen on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The course is designed around three distinct loops of approximately 10 km each. Participants can choose to complete one, two, or three of these loops.
The routes feature a variety of terrain including mixed forests, historical paths, single tracks, and heathland. Runners will encounter elevation changes and climbs as the trail passes through the state forests near the Bornia nature reserve. All paths are fully marked with arrows and ribbons to guide participants.
The event features a central basecamp at the KNVB Campus where the start, finish, and aid stations are located. This area serves as a meeting point for participants after completing each loop.
Available distances include:
- 10 km (one loop)
- 21 km (two loops)
- 30 km (three loops)
Aid stations are provided after every loop at the central campus location. As this is a cup-free event, participants must bring their own race cup.
