About the race
The Austerlitz Trail is centred on the KNVB Campus in the Staatsbossen near Zeist on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The event uses a basecamp at the campus for start, finish and the main verzorgingspost. The course setup consists of three loops, each about 10 km in length; participants choose to run one, two or three loops. All loops are fully marked with arrows and tape.
Bevoorrading is provided after every loop at the start and finish location. There are single tracks, mixed forest paths, old laneways, open spots and areas of heather. The terrain includes some height differences and short climbs. Practical details published by the organiser include that a start block of one hour is printed on tickets for the first lap, and participants receive an additional information email about a week before the event.
Disposable cups are not provided so participants should bring their own race cup. The date is stated as still subject to confirmation because of KNVB Campus availability. A pop up Trailrunning Shop will be present at the event and the organiser notes an online shop plus a permanent shop opening in Amersfoort in autumn 2026.
