The Augusta Sports Council hosts the Augusta Half Marathon, 10K and 5K presented by Georgia Carolina Orthopedics. The event includes in-person and virtual options and a Youth Fun Run for K–3rd grade offered at no charge.

The courses are USATF certified and serve as qualifiers for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Proceeds benefit the Augusta Sports Council and the G.A.M.E.S. Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to selected graduating high school student athletes.

The Augusta Sports Council is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports and attracts sporting activities to the Augusta area; it reports having created, recruited, or supported over 800 events, attracted more than 450,000 athletes, and generated over $400 million in economic impact.
