Autumn Harvest Trail Weekend takes place at Lake Bastrop South Shore Park on October 10-11, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances across two days on the park's North-South Trailway, Gideon Loop, Swift Trail, and the Loblolly Loop.
Distances offered include:
- 50K
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)

- 10K

- 5K
- Big Bastrop Backyard Ultra (4.167 mile loop)
- Big Bastrop Backyard Ruck (5.1 km loop)
The Big Bastrop Backyard Ultra uses an hourly loop format: runners start each loop on the hour, must complete the 4.167 mile loop within one hour to continue, and the last runner completing one more loop than all others is the winner. A cumulative time tiebreaker is used if more than one runner remains at the 24 hour mark. Headlamps and night gear are required for night loops. The Backyard Ruck follows the same hourly format on a 5.1 km loop with required ruck weights of 30 lb for men and 20 lb for women. Field caps apply: 70 runners for the backyard ultra and 20 for the ruck.
Long course events have aid stations every 2.5 miles; the Gideon Loop has aid approximately every 2.1 miles with full support at the start and finish. Trails feature rolling terrain, mixed single-track and wider sections, loblolly pines, and lakeside views. Event registration includes a finisher medal, race shirt if registered by September 15, chip timing, stocked aid stations, medical support, and race photography.
