ATW Remembrance Runs
The ATW Remembrance Runs take place at Carver Barracks, formerly known as Debden Airfield, in Essex. This event is held during Remembrance weekend in November to honor fallen heroes and support military and health charities, including The Felix Fund and Alzheimer's Research UK.
The course is located on the grounds of a disused World War 2 airfield. All routes are entirely traffic-free and utilize the flat, fast concrete surfaces of the site. To assist participants during their run, music is played at various points along the course.
Participants can choose from four available distances:
- Half Marathon (minimum age 17)
- 10 km (minimum age 15)
- 5 km (minimum age 11)
- 1 mile Family Run (open to all ages)
Children under the age of eight must be accompanied by a registered adult. The event provides several amenities for participants, including free event photography, custom-designed medals for finishers, and a selection of snacks and goodies at the finish line.
The venue offers ample parking on-site for a fee of £3. The event is organized by Active Training World and follows a transfer policy that allows entries to be moved to future events up to 48 hours before the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
