ATW Remembrance Runs
ATW Remembrance Runs take place at Debden Airfield, Carver Barracks, in Essex on Remembrance weekend in November. The event is held to honour members of the armed forces who died in the line of duty and to raise money for charity. The event supports The Felix Fund and includes fundraising opportunities for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
All races are traffic free and use the flat, concrete grounds of the disused World War 2 airfield. Music will be played on the course. Participants can expect a supportive atmosphere, custom-designed medals, free event photos, and finish line snacks and goodies.
Distances offered:
- Half marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 mile (Family Mile)
Children under eight years must have their own ticket and must be accompanied by a paying adult. Age minimums apply for some distances: 5 km entrants must be at least 11 on race day, 10 km entrants at least 15, and half marathon entrants at least 17. Ample parking is available at the venue for a £3 charge.
