The bike leg is non-draft legal and uses quiet roads of the Dengie Peninsula, passing Latchingdon, Tillingham, Steeple and Mayland. The run is a flat 5 km loop on a mix of paved road, grass and gravel, finishing with a final kilometre around Promenade Park. The swim leg has a 1 hour 10 minute cut-off and the overall event has an 8 hour cut-off. Parking is available in Promenade Park with fees.
