Event overview
The Atlanta Lab Rescue 5K takes place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park (formerly Westside Park), 1660 Johnson Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. This is the 11th annual running of the event and serves as a fundraiser for Atlanta Lab Rescue. The race distance is a 5K (approximately 3.15 miles). The organization reports averaging 40+ dogs in the program and having rescued over 6,000 dogs in its first 13 years. The event is dog friendly; retractable leashes are not allowed.
Logistics and services
The in-person 5K and a 5K virtual run both list a base fee of $35. The in-person event fee increases after October 19, 2025. Virtual registration closes November 9, 2025. Registration fee includes a long sleeve t-shirt; each timed participant receives a race bib with a timing chip. Shirts for virtual runners are mailed the week of the race. Timing services are provided by Elite Race Timing. Early packet pickup is available Friday, November 14 at Big Peach Running Co Marietta (1062 Johnson Ferry Road, Ste 170, Marietta, GA); packet pickup registration accepts credit or debit only. Onsite race day registration is available via QR code and accepts credit or debit only. A course map PDF is available and an awards ceremony is held after the race.
