Athens Fair 5K Run/Walk
The Athens Fair 5K Run/Walk is an annual mid-summer community event held in Athens, Wisconsin. Marking its 16th year, the event is organized as part of the broader Annual Athens Fair activities. The race is managed by members of the Athens Area Trail Association, with proceeds from registration supporting various fair activities.
Participants follow a course that begins at Memorial Park, located at 204 Mueller Street near State Highway 97. The route takes runners and walkers through the trails of Erbach Park, providing a scenic section of the course. The finish line is situated on Kreutzer Street in the downtown area, adjacent to the Main Street Market.

Local businesses and organizations sponsor several race day amenities for participants. These include giveaways such as t-shirts, as well as a water stop along the route. At the conclusion of the race, finishers are provided with snacks, beverages, and awards.
