Ashland Balloonfest 5K (2026)
The Ashland Balloonfest 5K is a community road race held as part of the annual Balloonfest at Freer Field in Ashland, Ohio on June 27, 2026. The event is organized by the Ashland Cross Country Parents Organization and is the 31st running of the 5K. Proceeds benefit Ashland High School and Ashland Middle School cross country teams.
Race services include chip timing provided by Mid Ohio Race Management. Restroom facilities will be available via the port-a-pots used by Balloonfest. Roads will be blocked and volunteers will staff road crossings; local police will also be on site for additional safety.
Entry fees are listed at a single price tier of $30. A participant T-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by June 10; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt. Multiple registration windows are noted for late and same day entry. Packet pick-up is available on the listed pre-race date at Spreng Smith Insurance Agency and also near the race start on event day.
Awards include medals for the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories, overall male and female awards, and overall master male and female awards.
