Girlings Ashford & District 10k
The Girlings Ashford & District 10k is organised by Ashford & District RRC and takes place on 29 November 2026 at Tower School, Faversham Rd, Kennington, Ashford TN24 9AL. The race has been held for more than 35 editions and is described as a long established local event.
The course is a 10 km route run largely on tarmac along undulating country lanes around Westwell. The start and finish are on Sandyhurst Lane, approximately a five minute walk from the event headquarters and parking at Tower School. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available.
The event supports Pilgrims Hospices, a hospice charity in East Kent that provides care for people with incurable illness. Entry helps to support that work.
Facilities and inclusions listed for the event include a bespoke medal, trophies for leading runners and age category winners, free parking and full changing and shower facilities. Cake and refreshments are available on race day. Entry fees are shown in the event information as between £21 and £23 for advance offers, with an on the day fee of £25 subject to availability.
