Event overview
The ALDI Ashby 20 is a not-for-profit road race organised by Ivanhoe Runners. The event distance is 20 miles, run as an undulating two-lap route mainly on closed roads. The race holds a UKA licence (number 30173) and a course measurement number (25/435). The race venue is Bath Grounds, Station Street, Ashby de la Zouch (LE65 2GL). Pre-race headquarters and changing facilities are at Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido (LE65 1HU). The event supports Teenage Cancer Trust and three local charities: Heartwize for Runners, Hospice Hope and Wishes 4 Kids.
Race details and policies
The race is open to entrants aged 18 or older. Entry fees are £40 for UKA members and £42 for non-members. Maximum field is 1500 runners (initial entries up to 1700 to allow for withdrawals). Entries open on 27 October 2025 and close on 10 February 2026. Withdrawals are refundable, minus a £5 admin fee, until midnight on 8 February; deferrals and number swaps are not permitted. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. Earphones are not allowed except for bone-conducting headphones or medically prescribed hearing devices. Guide runners for visually impaired competitors may receive a free entry invite. Strict cut-off times apply: 10-mile cut-off 2 hours 20 minutes and 15-mile cut-off 3 hours 30 minutes (measured by gun time); the overall schedule allows roughly 4 hours 45 minutes to complete the course.
