Event details

The Grafham Water Swimrun takes place on 28 June 2026 at Grafham Water Visitor Centre, Marlow Car Park, Buckden Rd, Grafham, Huntingdon PE28 0BH. The event is organised by As Keen As Mustard Events. Categories include solo and team swimrun races with the following distances:

  • 5 km Intro Solo Swimrun
  • 10 km Sprint Solo Swimrun
  • 21 km Half Solo Swimrun
  • 21 km Half Team Swimrun

Anglian Water parking charges apply at the venue. Entry fees are listed per race category and are non-refundable once entries are confirmed, with specific transfer and deferral rules. Timing is measured electronically from the start to the finish.

Course, rules and safety

Courses are set around Grafham Water and include undulating trail runs through woodland and along reservoir tracks, open-water swimming across natural bays, and reed-fringed banks. The 21 km route completes a full lap of the reservoir through the nature reserve. Participants must register on race day and attend the mandatory race briefing.

Mandatory kit includes a swim hat, visible number band, whistle, trainers, a soft/collapsible cup, and a waterproof-packaged pressure bandage. Wetsuits are required if water temperature is below 14°C. Solo entrants must be 18 or over; teams consist of two adults who must remain within 100 m on land and 10 m in the water. The event operates a zero-tolerance litter policy and grants the organiser rights to use event photography and film.
