Art Car IPA 5K
The Art Car IPA 5K is scheduled for April 12, 2026 in Houston and is presented by the University of Houston Downtown. The event takes place at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, noted in event materials as Texas' oldest craft brewery, and combines a timed 5 kilometer run with a post race beer focused party.
Race registration includes a gender specific dry fit style shirt, an Art Car IPA 5K finisher medal, a finisher pint glass and a choice of three Saint Arnold beverages to fill the glass. A separate Beer and Party Pass is offered for participants who do not take part in the run; that pass includes the finisher pint glass, three Saint Arnold beverages and access to the post race party. The Beer and Party Pass is restricted to adults and the event materials list age limits for that option.
The Art Car IPA beer was introduced in August 2015 and was inspired by a fleet of hand painted Art Cars created by local artists. The event materials note that the label artwork was created by a Houston graffiti artist who painted several Saint Arnold Art Cars.
