Arrowhead Endurance Run
The Arrowhead Endurance Run takes place October 10 to 11, 2026 at Arrowhead Lake Campground in Johnston City, IL. The event features multiple timed races held around a certified loop that circles the lake.
Race formats include:
- 24 Hour
- 24 Hour Relay
- 12 Hour
- 12 Hour Night
- 6 Hour
- 3 Hour Race
The course uses a certified 2.07 mile loop that is about 99% gravel with a short concrete section at the boat ramp. Each loop has under 50 feet of elevation change. Chip timing is provided for participants.
Finishers registered before September 27, 2026 receive event shirts. Every runner who completes at least one official lap in their registered race receives a custom medal. Buckles are awarded to runners who complete 100 miles in the 24 Hour race before the cut off. Overall winners in each race receive a special award.
One large aid station is located at the start and finish area and offers typical aid station items, electrolyte options, water, and hot food at times. Aid station food is for participants only. Runners may set up their own pop up tent or personal aid on race morning.
Camping is available at the campground and several hotels are available in nearby Marion, about 15 minutes from the venue. Entry fees are non refundable and entries cannot be transferred to another year. A pregnancy deferral allows a full deferal of the entry fee to the following year. Littering or inappropriate behavior toward staff or volunteers can result in disqualification and possible banning from future events.
