About the race
The Arrowhead Endurance Run is a multi-race endurance event held October 10–11, 2026 at Arrowhead Lake Campground in Johnston City, IL. The event is staged on a certified 2.07 mile loop around the lake that is about 99% gravel with a short concrete section at the boat ramp and under 50 ft of elevation change per loop.
Race formats include:
- 24 Hour
- 24 Hour Relay
- 12 Hour
- 12 Hour Night
- 6 Hour
- 3 Hour Race
Chip timing is provided. Packet pickup is held at the pavilion near the start/finish to the right of the boat dock. Camping is available at the campground and several hotels are located in nearby Marion about 15 minutes away.
There is one large aid station at the start/finish area offering typical aid station items, water, electrolyte options and hot food throughout the event. Participants with specific dietary needs are advised to bring their own supplies. Personal pop-up tents and aid setups are permitted on race morning at the venue.
All finishers registered before the shirt deadline will receive a shirt. Every runner who completes at least one official lap in their registered race receives a custom medal. Buckles are awarded to 100 mile finishers in the 24 hour race before the cutoff, and overall winners receive a special award. Entry fees are non-refundable and entries cannot be transferred. Pregnancy deferral to the following year is allowed; discounts are available for military and first responders on request. Littering or inappropriate behavior can result in disqualification.
