Event
The Arrowhead Endurance Run takes place October 10-11, 2026 in Johnston City, Illinois (Arrowhead Lake Campground). Race formats offered include:
- 24 Hour
- 24 Hour Relay
- 12hrs
- 12 hour - NIGHT TIME
- 6hrs
- 3 Hour Race
Registration closes Fri, Oct 9. Event swag includes shirts for finishers registered before 9/27/26. Each runner who completes at least one official lap in their registered race receives a custom medal. Buckles are awarded to runners who complete 100 miles in the 24 hour race before the cut-off. Overall winners in each race receive a special award.
Course and logistics
The course is a certified 2.07 mile loop around Arrowhead Lake with about 99% gravel surface and a short concrete section at the boat ramp. Elevation change is under 50 feet per loop. Chip timing is provided by SoILL Racing.
Camping is available at the Arrowhead Lake Campground. Several hotels in Marion are listed as about 15 minutes from the race. One large aid station is located at the start/finish area offering standard aid station fare, electrolyte options, water and hot food during the event. Aid station food is for participants only. Participants may set up a personal pop-up tent or aid station on race morning.
Entry fees are non-refundable and entries cannot be transferred to another year. Pregnancy deferral to the following year is available with advance notice to the race director. Littering or inappropriate behavior toward staff or volunteers can result in disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
