Arrowhead Endurance Run : October 10–11, 2026
Arrowhead Endurance Run takes place at Arrowhead Lake Campground in Johnston City, IL, about 15 minutes north of Marion. The event uses a certified 2.07 mile loop around the lake. The trail surface is about 99% gravel with a short concrete section at the boat ramp. Elevation change per loop is under 50 feet.
Multiple race formats are offered:
- 24 hour
- 24 hour relay
- 12 hour
- 12 hour night
- 6 hour
- 3 hour race
A single large aid station is located at the start/finish area and will provide typical aid station fare, electrolyte options, water, and hot food options throughout the event. Aid station food is for participants only. Runners may set up a personal pop up tent or aid area on race morning; participants are encouraged to bring camp chairs and small tables. Camping is available at the campground and there are hotel options in Marion, approximately 15 minutes away.
Finisher items and awards include event shirts for finishers registered by the shirt deadline, a custom medal for any runner who completes at least one official lap, buckles for 100 mile finishers in the 24 hour race before cut off, and special awards for overall winners.
Entry fees are non refundable and entries cannot be transferred to another year. Pregnancy deferral to the following year is allowed under specified conditions. Littering or inappropriate behavior toward volunteers or staff can result in disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
