Arrowhead Endurance Run
The Arrowhead Endurance Run takes place Oct 10 to 11, 2026 at Arrowhead Lake Campground in Johnston City, IL. The event uses a certified 2.07 mile loop around the lake. The loop is mostly gravel with a small concrete section at the boat ramp and under 50 feet of elevation change per lap. Chip timing is provided.
Race formats include multiple timed events and relays:
- 24 hour
- 24 hour relay
- 12 hour
- 12 hour night
- 6 hour
- 3 hour race
One large aid station is located at the start and finish area. The aid station offers typical race food, electrolyte options, water, and hot food during the event. Participants with specific dietary needs are advised to bring their own supplies. Runners may set up personal tents or small aid stations on race morning.
Finisher items and awards include event shirts for finishers who register before the shirt deadline, a custom medal for anyone who completes at least one official lap, buckles for 100 mile finishes in the 24 hour race, and awards for overall winners. Camping is available at the campground. There are hotel options in Johnston City and in Marion, about 15 minutes from the venue.
Entry fees are non refundable and entries cannot be transferred to another year. Pregnancy deferral to the following year is permitted. Littering or inappropriate behavior can result in disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
