ARR Thanksgiving Day Classic
The ARR Thanksgiving Day Classic is a single-day running event held at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona on November 26, 2026. The event offers multiple distances to accommodate different participants:
- 10 Mile
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. The 10 Mile and 5K are run on certified courses. Pies are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for the 5K and 10 Mile races. Age group categories are defined for both distances, and an awards ceremony follows the races. Any remaining pies after the ceremony are distributed to participants who stayed for the awards and did not win a pie.
Race registration is conducted online through RunSignUp. Listed registration deadlines for the event entries close on November 2, 2026. Paper registration on race day is not available. Registration fees listed for standard entries include $55 for the 10 Mile, $35 for the 5K, and $25 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. Youth entry fees for certain categories are listed at $5. Youth shirts are not included with those youth entries; shirts are available for youth for $20.
A long sleeve technical race shirt is included with adult registrations for the 5K and 10 Mile and with all 1 Mile Fun Run registrations. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Peoria Diamond Club, which provides grants to local charities including Special Olympics Arizona. The event also collects unwrapped toy donations for the Peoria Toy Drive at packet pickup and on race morning. Strollers and baby joggers are allowed but must start at the back of the pack. There is a course time cutoff for the 10 Mile that equates to a 15 minute per mile pace; finishers after that cutoff are not eligible for an age group award pie.
