Arnold 5K Run / Walk + Arnold Pump & Run + Arnold Ruck
The event takes place on March 7, 2027 at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, at 400 N. High Street. It offers three related formats that all cover a 5-kilometer distance: the Arnold 5K Run / Walk, the Arnold 5K Pump & Run, and the Arnold Ruck.
The Arnold 5K Run / Walk is open to runners and walkers. The Arnold Ruck requires participants to complete the 5K wearing a weighted vest, ruck sack, or equivalent carrying at least 15 pounds. The Arnold 5K Pump & Run combines strength and running: athletes bench press a percentage of their body weight for up to 30 repetitions before the 5K; each completed lift reduces the 5-kilometer run time by 30 seconds. The Pump & Run is limited to 1,200 athletes and uses 10 age and gender divisions. Bench press requirements vary by age and gender, with men required to press between 60 and 100 percent of body weight and women between 40 and 70 percent, depending on their division.
Registration for these events includes an event T-shirt, a finisher medal, a race bib, free race photos, and admission to the Arnold Expo on Sunday March 7. A virtual entry option with packet shipping is available. The event administrator enforces a no refund and no bib transfer policy. Strollers are permitted in the events.
