Armed Forces Day Freedom 5K
The Armed Forces Day Freedom 5K is hosted by the East Mississippi Veterans Foundation on May 16, 2026. All races begin and end at The Grove at Bonita Lakes Park in Meridian, Mississippi, at 1 Bonita Reservoir Rd.

Race timing is provided by Time 2 Run Race Timing. The 5K Run features awards for overall male and overall female finishers, plus age-group awards for male and female runners in the following groups: 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. The 5K Walk presents awards for overall male and overall female, plus age-group awards in 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & Over. The Kids Fun Run recognizes the first male and first female finishers.
Participants who register early are guaranteed a race shirt in their desired size on race day. The event benefits the East Mississippi Veterans Foundation and supports the East Mississippi Veterans Park project located adjacent to Meridian’s historic Key Field.
