Arlington Education Foundation 5K
The Arlington Education Foundation 5K is scheduled for May 17, 2026, in Arlington, Massachusetts. The event begins and ends at Hill's Hill Field behind the Ed Burns Hockey Rink, located at 422 Summer Street, Arlington MA 02474.
The run celebrates Arlington students, teachers, and staff and raises funds for the Arlington Education Foundation. Proceeds support innovative projects and system wide initiatives that enhance the educational experience in Arlington Public Schools. AEF is organized as a 501(c)(3) and relies on individual donations and business sponsorships; the race contributes to community awareness and fundraising.
Registration is open to all ages. Early bird pricing through April 1 is $35 per entrant and increases to $45 afterward except for eligible Arlington Community Education ACE and Gibbs OMS running group members. Personalized bibs are provided to participants who register on or before April 15. There will be no race day registration and no race day bib pickup.
The 5K course starts and finishes at Hill's Hill Field. Runners proceed east onto the Minuteman Bikeway, continue east to Water Street, then follow a short route onto Massachusetts Avenue and Lowell Street, turn onto Mill Lane which becomes Frazer Lane at the Schwamb Mill, and return via the Minuteman Bike Path to Hill's Hill Field.
Event services include chip timing coordinated by Second Wind Timing with results posted and emailed to participants. T shirts are provided for participants 14 years old and younger. The race will proceed unless extreme weather prevents safe conditions and there are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
