Arlington Education Foundation 5K
The Arlington Education Foundation 5K takes place on May 17, 2026 at Hill's Hill Field behind the Ed Burns Arena, 422 Summer Street, Arlington, MA. The event is organized to raise funds for innovative projects and system wide initiatives that support Arlington Public Schools. The run is open to all ages and depends on individual donations and business sponsorships.
Registration opens February 11 and closes April 1. Early bird registration through April 1 is $35 per entrant; the fee increases to $45 after that date for most participants. Members of Arlington Community Education ACE and Gibbs/OMS running groups are eligible for a discount. There is no race day registration.
The 5K route starts and finishes at Hill's Hill Field and follows the Minuteman Bikeway east to Water Street, continues via Massachusetts Avenue and Lowell Street, then uses Mill Lane and Frazer Lane at the Schwamb Mill to return to the Minuteman Bikeway and back to Hill's Hill Field.
Bib pickup is scheduled the Friday and Saturday before the event at local locations; there is no race day pickup. T shirts are provided for participants 14 years old and younger and for older participants who register before May 1; a no shirt option is available. Volunteers are requested to assist the Race Leadership Team. Chip timing is provided and results will be posted after the race. The event will proceed unless extreme weather prevents safe conditions; refunds are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
