Argus Apple Marathon
The Argus Apple Marathon is a signature fall running event located in the heart of the Okanagan in Kelowna, British Columbia. The races start and finish at Kelowna City Park on Abbott Street. The course is designed to be flat and fast, utilizing a mix of city streets and lakeside trails along the Okanagan Lake shoreline.
Participants can choose from a variety of distances:
- 42.2 km (Certified Marathon)
- 21.1 km (Certified Half Marathon)
- 8 km
- 1.6 km (Family Fun Run)
The 42.2 km distance is an Athletics Canada certified course, making it eligible for Boston Marathon qualification. The 21.1 km half marathon follows a single loop that covers one half of the full marathon route. The 8 km race conducts runners through the cityscape and lush local parks.
Registration includes an event t-shirt, a swag bag with items from local sponsors, and a custom finisher medal for all distances. The course is supported by aid stations stocked with water and electrolytes, as well as professional medical staff and traffic management. A Race Expo and package pick-up are held at City Park on the day preceding the main distance events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
