Argus Apple Marathon Race Weekend
The event features multiple distances on a course described as flat and fast, certified by Athletics Canada and valid for Boston Marathon qualification.
Distances offered:
- 42.2 km (marathon)
- 21.1 km (half marathon)
- 8 km
- 1.6 km (Family Fun Run)
The marathon is two loops of the same route used by the half marathon, which completes a single loop. Start and finish are at City Park in Kelowna. The route runs north through downtown on paved roads and bike paths, returns to City Park, then heads south along the Abbott Street bike path beside Okanagan Lake, loops near Okanagan College and follows the lake back to City Park. 8 km runners split from the main course at Broadway and Ellis Street.
The course is fully marked and supported with stocked aid stations. The marathon has a six-hour course time limit and requires full-marathon athletes to begin the second loop within the event cutoff. Race day features live tracking with a web tracker, live leaderboard, interactive map tracking and a mobile app; times shown during the event are unofficial.
Entries are non-refundable unless the optional third-party refund insurance is purchased. Transfers and distance changes are allowed until September 22, 2026 under the published policies. Organizers reserve the right to cancel or alter events for safety or by direction of authorities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
