Annual 5K RUN & WALK With The DOGS : Memorial Park, Beacon NY
The Annual 5K RUN & WALK With The DOGS takes place on May 17, 2026 at Memorial Park in Beacon, NY. The event marks the Animal Rescue Foundation's 40th anniversary and directs 100% of event proceeds to the rescue and care of animals.
Race options include:
- 1K Kids Fun Run for ages 3 to 10
- 5K Run and Walk with the Dogs
- Virtual 5K Run and Walk with the Dogs
Races are professionally timed using chipped running bibs. The Kids Fun Run does not permit dogs and children under 3 may participate for free. On the 5K course each adult may accompany one dog; dogs must be non aggressive, current on vaccinations, and leashed at all times. Retractable and bungee style leashes are not permitted. Strollers are allowed only on the 5K course. The event is rain or shine and registration is non refundable.
Additional event features include a dog costume contest with Most Original and Most Hilarious categories, a post race celebration with awards, music, games, face painting, vendor exhibits, and raffles. Participants registered by April 30 will receive a commemorative event item. Fundraising minimums and rewards are specified for each event category.
