HarryMan Triathlon : May 16, 2026, Lake Welch Beach, Harriman State Park NY
The event is a multi-distance triathlon held at Lake Welch Beach in Harriman State Park on May 16, 2026. The course uses exclusive lake access for the swim and includes a looped bike course through the park and a marked run route that follows park roads and paths. The swim starts from the sandy beach on a triangular 0.6 mile buoyed course. Water temperatures are expected in the range of 54 to 66 degrees. Swim warmup is provided before each race.
Wave starts are used to limit the number of racers in the water at one time, with approximately 80 to 100 athletes per wave and a maximum of 150 starters at once. The bike course is a 14 mile loop with aid and drop zones near the Lake Welch parking lot; discarded bottles are permitted only at the designated drop zone. Run aid stations are placed about every 1.5 to 2.0 miles and offer water, electrolyte, gels, snacks, fruit, and broth.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Participants must hold a current USAT membership or purchase a one-day USAT license. Minimum ages apply for each distance. Emergency medical standby, lifeguards, and trained staff will be present throughout the course. All finishers receive a medal and awards are given by division and overall.
