Arctic 5K : Hydaway Outdoor Center, Lynchburg
The Arctic 5K is scheduled for February 7, 2026 at Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. This is the 13th annual running of the Arctic 5K and the fourth trail race in the Liberty Mountain Trail Series.
The advertised course covers 3.1 miles and is composed of single track trail intermixed with some forest roads. Packet pickup is available February 6 at LaHaye Rotunda from Noon to 6 P.M., and on February 7 at Hydaway from 8:00 to 8:45 A.M. A giveaway t-shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed before January 23; a limited number of extra shirts will be available at packet pickup on a first-come basis.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers, the top three male and female finishers in each age group, and the top male and female masters overall (age over 40). Overall awards will be ranked by gun time; age group awards will be ranked by chip time. Door prizes are scheduled throughout the event.
Additional notes provided by the organizer include LMTS finisher awards for athletes who complete all five Liberty Mountain Trail Series 2025-2026 races in April 2026 (Deep Hollow, Valley View, Reindeer Run, Arctic 5k, King of the Mountain), a referral refund after three registrations, and a student discount applied at checkout.
