The Holiday Lake trail event takes place on February 14, 2026 at the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox, Virginia. Distances offered:
- 50K
- 25K
- 10K
The 25K and 50K are part of the Lynchburg Ultra Series. Registration closes on February 12, 2026. Awards are presented to all finishers under 8 hours.
Course and logistics
The course is a loop or double-loop circling Holiday Lake and uses country roads and trails; the 10K follows mostly single-track trails. The full course includes more than 2,000 feet of elevation gain and has aid stations approximately every 4 miles. Runners start and finish at the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center.
Lodging options at the camp include heated bunkhouses with capacity for 90+ at $25 per bunk, 12 unheated cabins with 4-6 bunks at $5 per person, and tent/car camping for $5. A pre-race briefing with pizza is offered at the camp and a post-race lunch is provided. Two training runs are scheduled in January; water and snacks are provided at mile 8 during those runs. Sponsor apparel and finisher items are provided for 25K and 50K entrants, with additional apparel available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
