Holiday Lake 50K++
The event takes place at the Holiday Lake 4H Educational Center in Appomattox, VA. It offers multiple distances on a course that circles Holiday Lake and uses nearby country roads and trails. The 25k runs a single loop and the 50k is a double loop, with over 2,000 feet of elevation gain. Aid stations are located at roughly four mile intervals. Awards are presented to all finishers under eight hours.

Runners receive event apparel from the sponsor Rabbit apparel. Runners in the 50k and 25k get custom swag at check-in and a long-sleeve Rabbit "EZ-Tee" at the finish. T-shirts and hoodies are available for purchase at registration and on race day. A pre-race briefing with pizza and a post-race lunch are held at the 4H camp. Pre-race meal and lodging are available at the 4H Center.
Lodging options at the camp include heated bunkhouses with capacity for more than ninety people at a set bunk fee, unheated rustic cabins with electric and shared bunks offered per person, and tent or car camping in a field near the start and finish for a small fee. The event is part of the Lynchburg Ultra Series. Training runs are scheduled in the months before the race with water and snacks provided at mile eight on the training loop.
Weather in mid-February can change quickly; past conditions have included an ice storm that prevented many runners from starting because of road conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
