ARC Irene Road Run/Walk : Centurion, Gauteng
ARC Irene Road Run/Walk is a road event held at the Irene Athletics Club inside the Agricultural Research Centre (ARC) Irene in Centurion. The event is open to non-club members and does not require an athletics license.
Distances and standard entry fees:
- 3 km : R80
- 5 km : R110
- 10 km : R130
- 15 km : R150
- 21 km : R170
Reduced fee R80 applies to children under 13 years and adults over 60 years for specified classes. On-the-day entries incur an additional R30 for most categories; children and pensioners remain at R80 with no extra on-the-day charge.
Logistics and race services: Participants receive their race number on the morning of the event at registration. The route uses roads within the ARC Irene grounds and does not extend onto public roads. Routes are marked and include water tables on all distances. Walking or hiking is permitted on the 2 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km routes. Amenities at the clubhouse include coffee, drinks and snacks. Parking and venue entry are included. Finisher medals and Vitality points are provided.
Additional notes: The event is not pet friendly. There is an option to donate the cost of the medal to a Make a Difference campaign supporting an animal shelter. Cash, card and SnapScan are accepted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
