Event details
The Arbor Springs 5K is a community run/walk held in Newnan, GA at 250 Arbor Springs Plantation Drive. Registration is free and the event is open exclusively to Arbor Springs residents and their guests. Optional donations are accepted to help cover race costs. The event includes post-race snacks and drinks and awards for the first three finishers. Packet pickup and check-in are provided on race day.
Course and logistics
The course begins and ends at the neighborhood pool and follows local streets and a golf cart path. The route goes onto Arbor Springs Plantation Drive, Arbor Springs North Drive, Primrose Pass (to a cul-de-sac), the golf cart path, then back toward the Arbor Springs playground for a turnaround and return to the pool. Water and Gatorade stations are located on Primrose Pass (mile 1) and at the playground (mile 2).
Road closures and parking restrictions will affect the neighborhood. Arbor Springs Parkway, Arbor Springs Plantation Drive, Arbor Springs North Drive, and Primrose Pass have specified closures or single-lane restrictions; local authorities may delay traffic or tow parked vehicles if necessary. Parking at the pool is very limited; street parking is available east of the pool on Arbor Springs Plantation Drive toward Highway 29.
