Arbor Springs 5K
The Arbor Springs 5K is a run/walk event for all ages. It takes place in the Arbor Springs neighborhood in Newnan, Georgia. The event has free registration.
Participants must be Arbor Springs residents or their invited guests. It starts and finishes at the neighborhood pool.
Course Details
The 5K route begins at the pool. It goes through the community, using streets like Arbor Springs Plantation Drive, Arbor Springs North Drive, and Primrose Pass. Parts of the route include a golf cart path. There is a turnaround point at the Arbor Springs playground. Water and sports drinks will be available at two points along the route.
Logistics
Parking at the start/finish area is very limited. Participants are encouraged to walk or use a golf cart to get there. For those who drive, street parking is suggested on Arbor Springs Plantation Drive, east of the pool.
Several roads in the neighborhood will be closed or have restricted traffic during the event for safety. This includes closures on Arbor Springs Plantation Drive, Arbor Springs North Drive, and Primrose Pass. On-site parking on these roads is not allowed, and vehicles may be towed.
Other Information
Snacks and drinks will be available at the finish line. The top three finishers will receive prizes. The event is free, but optional donations are accepted to help cover costs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
