AR Alpha Pi Beta Phi 5K 2026
The Arkansas Alpha chapter of Pi Beta Phi will host its 21st annual 5K in Fayetteville on September 26, 2026. The event is based at 499 North Campus Walk and follows trails around Fayetteville.
The 5K supports Pi Beta Phi's focus on children's literacy. All proceeds will be contributed to the Pi Beta Phi Literacy Fund to support literacy efforts locally in Fayetteville and at the national level. The event also serves to raise awareness of the chapter's philanthropic initiatives.
Chapter members run multiple school-based programs and volunteer regularly in local schools and early education programs. Named programs include Champions Are Readers, Lunch Buddies, Pen Pals, Library Buddies, Pre-K Buddies, and involvement with the Potters House pre-school program Wet Cement. Members work weekly at Vandergriff, Leverett, Asbell and Butterfield Elementary Schools in the FISD system.
